Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patient condition throughout the shift
- Administer medications and document administrations accurately and timely
- Perform routine nursing tasks such as vital signs, wound care, and basic assessments
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and ensure comfort and safety
- Maintain clear, thorough charting in the electronic medical record
- Promote infection control practices and follow facility policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Current clinical license in good standing with no restrictions
- Comfortable working overnight and thriving in fast-paced care settings
- Previous LPN experience in a similar setting (long-term care or rehab) is preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational nursing education
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Proficient in basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Knowledge of wound care and common nursing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize patient safety and deliver person-centered care
