Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and monitor patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer medications and document administrations accurately and timely
• Perform routine nursing tasks such as vital signs, wound care, and basic assessments
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and ensure comfort and safety
• Maintain clear, thorough charting in the electronic medical record
• Promote infection control practices and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
• Current clinical license in good standing with no restrictions
• Comfortable working overnight and thriving in fast-paced care settings
• Previous LPN experience in a similar setting (long-term care or rehab) is preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent vocational nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Proficient in basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Knowledge of wound care and common nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize patient safety and deliver person-centered care
