Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to each patient
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living and functional independence
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home strategies, adaptive equipment, and community resources
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives at the facility

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy license in Montana or ability to obtain state licensure prior to start
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD or equivalent)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or ability to obtain before start
• Facility orientation and background check clearance as required
• Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Prior acute care, subacute, or outpatient rehab experience welcomed but new grads who meet licensure requirements are encouraged to apply

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (e.g., MOT, OTD) from an accredited program; meet state education requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessment, ADL training, and therapeutic activity planning
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with clinical documentation systems
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and fall prevention strategies
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and work efficiently in a collaborative setting
