Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Assess patients and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the EMR
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Assist with wound care, ADLs, and other nursing procedures as needed
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Vermont (required)
- Minimum availability for this 16-week local contract (2026-02-09 to 2026-05-25)
- Ability to work nights and be available for every other weekend
- Comfort with working a 4-day schedule totaling 32 hours per week
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable local commute (local candidates only)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Basic wound care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Electronic medical record charting and accurate recordkeeping
- Infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical troubleshooting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
