Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions with compassion and clinical precision
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document them accurately
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Perform timely and thorough documentation in the electronic health record
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
- Respond to emergencies and changes in condition with calm, competent action
- Advocate for patient needs while maintaining regulatory and facility standards
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (meet state requirements for practice)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
- Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a travel assignment schedule
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a fast-paced workload
- Clear communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Basic knowledge of safety, infection control and regulatory standards
