Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
- Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and document changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
- Monitor patient status, escalate concerns, and respond to emergencies as needed
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Comfortable and experienced working overnight 12+ hour shifts
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing assessment, clinical interventions, and patient safety practices
- Medication administration and IV therapy experience
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork mindset and strong patient advocacy
