Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents of Windward Gardens
• Assess patient condition and respond with timely, evidence-based interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to coordinate excellent care
• Document assessments, care plans, and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
• Promote a positive patient experience by communicating effectively with residents and families
• Follow facility policies and infection control standards to maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license (eligible to practice in Maine or compact state where applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other advanced certifications a plus for RNs
• Comfortable working full days and covering weekends as part of a seven-day schedule
• Professional attitude, strong clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN or Diploma for RNs; PN diploma or equivalent for LPNs)
• BSN preferred for RNs when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and resident-centered care approach
