Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and build trusting relationships
- Perform assessments, monitor vitals, and document changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and follow physician care plans accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Support unit operations by maintaining clean, safe workspaces and following policies
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN or RN license (eligible for New Mexico practice)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Clinical experience in a patient-care setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork-first attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during long day shifts and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or an accredited nursing program (for RNs, associate or bachelor’s degree as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medication administration and nursing fundamentals
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
- Comfortable with electronic health records and basic clinical technology
- Good clinical judgment, attention to detail, and infection control practices
- Ability to educate patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
