Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and toileting
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly and accurately
• Document care activities and resident responses according to facility policies
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized resident care plans

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential required
• Current CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the assignment
• Reliable, patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program and active LNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong resident-focused bedside care and personal assistance skills
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation best practices
• Knowledge of infection control, safe patient handling, and mobility assistance
• Good observational skills to notice changes in condition and escalate appropriately
• Teamwork and clear communication with nurses, therapists, and facility staff
