Roles & Responsibilities
- Direct pharmacy operations for assigned sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant medication use
- Lead and mentor pharmacy teams—hire, develop, evaluate, and inspire partners to perform at their best
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs that improve patient outcomes
- Oversee inventory control, pharmacy information systems, and medication safety initiatives
- Collaborate with system pharmacy leadership and medical staff to solve operational challenges and drive improvements
- Manage operational planning, budgeting input, and resource allocation to meet productivity and quality targets
- Participate on key committees (Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Medication Safety) to influence system-wide practice
- Step in as needed to perform pharmacy manager duties and ensure continuity of operations
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent experience
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Wisconsin (required)
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a health-system pharmacy setting
- Demonstrated experience with pharmacy operations, informatics, medication safety, and inventory control
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills with experience engaging clinical teams
- Experience participating in Pharmacy & Therapeutics and safety committees preferred
Education
- PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy)
- ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration preferred or equivalent experience

- Regulatory compliance and quality assurance practices
- Pharmacy informatics and pharmacy information management systems
- Medication safety principles and process improvement
- Policy and procedure development and implementation
- Budgeting, financial oversight, and productivity management
- Human resources responsibilities including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Inventory control and charge systems integration
