Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, 12-hour nights; rotating schedule set by manager with every-other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to adult and adolescent patients in a fast-paced tertiary hospital
- Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger centralized monitoring and act on concerning trends
- Titrate drips (vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics, analgesics, antiarrhythmics) safely and per protocol
- Manage respiratory support and troubleshoot from nasal cannula up to ventilator settings
- Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC for clean, reliable patient records and handoffs
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, fellows, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Participate in rapid response teams and codes and support charge nurse duties when assigned
- Support and mentor peers and participate in unit-specific orientation (2 shifts)
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/acute care experience preferred
- Comfort with 12-hour shifts and ability to work night rotations
- Valid driver’s license required at submittal (radius rule enforced)
- Ability to titrate drips and interpret telemetry independently
- Willingness to complete an open-book orientation exam (90% pass required) and comply with fingernail policy (no artificial nails)
Education
- Active RN licensure (Associate degree or BSN-level education acceptable); BSN not specifically required
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care monitoring and advanced hemodynamic assessment (CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz exposure)
- Telemetry strip interpretation and centralized monitoring (Draeger)
- Experience with EPIC charting and clinical documentation workflows
- Familiarity with CRRT, ventilator management, High Flow, BiPAP, CPAP
- Comfort with specialized devices and protocols (Zoll Thermoguard, BellMont rapid transfuser, Impella/balloon pump exposure helpful)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to float across inpatient units and adapt to unit needs
