Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based women's health and OB/GYN care in an outpatient clinic
- Perform and assist with OB/GYN procedures appropriate to your scope of practice
- Manage a daily panel of patients (approx. 18–25/day) with thorough assessment and treatment plans
- Document encounters and orders accurately and efficiently using Cerner
- Collaborate with support staff (MAs, reception) to ensure smooth clinic flow and excellent patient experience
- Follow site-specific time-keeping and billing processes (clock in/out using DocTime)
- Maintain required immunization and occupational health clearances to remain credentialed
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Michigan (NP credential required)
- Clinical experience in OB/GYN and women's health services (outpatient focus preferred)
- Familiarity with Cerner EHR and clinic workflow; experience with DocTime is a plus
- Current immunizations or documented immune titers: Hep B, MMR, Varicella (and flu for current season)
- COVID-19 documentation and TB testing within 12 months required; TDAP within last 10 years
- Ability to complete facility credentialing and orientation per site policy
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with NP certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical skills in outpatient OB/GYN procedures and women's health management
- Proficient documentation and order entry using Cerner
- Comfortable working with support staff to optimize clinic throughput
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Familiarity with timekeeping/billing workflows (DocTime)
- Efficient patient visit management at a steady outpatient pace
