Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients thoroughly using objective measures (AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, vital sign monitoring) to create individualized plans
- Develop and implement outpatient-focused treatment plans emphasizing orthopedics, post-op care, and gait training
- Provide hands-on therapy and gait training using assistive and adaptive devices (walkers, sliding boards, slings, gait belts)
- Document evaluations, reassessments, plan of care, long-term goals, and discharges in Epic with clarity and timeliness
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, injury prevention, and functional strategies
- Coordinate care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage caseload and time efficiently within 45-minute evaluation/treatment slots and built-in charting time
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist (state licensure required or eligible) — outpatient clinic experience is required (HARD STOP)
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
- BLS certification preferred
- Familiarity with orthopedic diagnoses and post-op care (total hip/knee, shoulder, spine, fractures, soft tissue injuries)
- Comfortable with adaptive and assistive devices and working 1:1 with patients
- Previous charge experience preferred but not required — billing knowledge (Workers' Comp, Medicaid, Medicare A/B, commercial, private pay) is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in outpatient assessment, evaluation, and development of Plan of Care
- Proficient with Epic charting and documentation workflows
- Hands-on experience with gait training, assistive devices, and extremity mobilization
- Knowledge of orthopedic conditions (DDD, DJD, post-op care, OA, tendon injuries) and rehab protocols
- Strong patient/family education skills and ability to create effective home exercise programs
- Good time management and ability to keep 45-minute treatment/eval schedules on track
- Familiarity with billing streams and payer types (Workers' Comp, Medicare A/B, Medicaid, commercial)
