Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (start time flexible between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM) - Day shift
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled, evidence-based rehabilitation treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and use of assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising PT to adjust treatment plans appropriately
- Accurately document treatment minutes and required clinical/regulatory information in the electronic chart
- Provide patient, family, and caregiver education and counseling to support functional recovery
- Report treatment outcomes and provide input to the supervising PT for discharge planning
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehab team meetings to coordinate care
- Support DME procurement efforts with the supervising PT to ensure patients have needed equipment
- Supervise and mentor PTA students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist
- Adhere to APTA practice acts, state regulations, and professional standards of conduct and ethics
Qualifications
- Active PTA license (Physical Therapist Assistant) — Missouri state licensure required (Compact allowed)
- Minimum 1 year of PTA experience — LTC or rehab experience required
- Current competence in documentation using electronic systems and accurate tracking of treatment minutes
- Ability to work collaboratively with a supervising PT and the interdisciplinary care team
- Comfort supervising students and participating in facility trainings and meetings
- Adherence to APTA practice acts and state-required standards of practice and ethics
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associates or equivalent)
- Active state PTA licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong grounding in evidence-based practice and rehabilitation principles
- Skilled in manual techniques, therapeutic exercise prescription, modalities, and ambulation training
- Experience with assistive/supportive devices and basic DME procurement processes
- Proficient in patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
- Effective communicator with patients, families, caregivers, supervising PTs, and care teams
- Familiarity with group therapy delivery and productivity-focused workflows in LTC/rehab settings
- Knowledge of regulatory and clinical practice requirements relevant to documentation and billing
