Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and learning needs of childbearing women, neonates, and families to build individualized plans of care
• Perform initial assessment and stabilization of neonates when needed
• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate outcomes to ensure high-quality care
• Document care thoroughly using EPIC and support the team during the Meditech to EPIC transition
• Provide patient and family teaching to promote self-care and newborn care confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate referrals and support at-risk families
• Advocate for patient safety and a hazard-free environment that promotes recovery and wellness

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, current
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider, current
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Provider, current
• Hands-on Labor & Delivery experience with neonatal stabilization
• Comfortable and experienced with EPIC (must) and familiar with Meditech to support the EHR transition
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills and ability to work well on a team

Education

• Completion of an accredited registered nurse program

• Care planning and patient/family teaching
• Thorough documentation in EPIC and support for EHR transitions
