Shift Type: 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night) — 3 nights/week (night shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality antepartum nursing care for high-risk patients (6 weeks to 41 weeks gestation)
- Assist and support bedside procedures such as sterile speculum exams and amniotic support
- Maintain and manage IV therapy including PICC/Central lines and syringe pumps
- Administer and monitor critical medications including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and anticoagulation therapy
- Circulate for C-sections and support the surgical team when needed
- Support patients and families through difficult situations including fetal demise and neonatal ICU admissions with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions to/from Postpartum and L&D units
- Document patient care accurately and timely, maintaining high charting standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license (facility honors active compact licenses per facility guidelines)
- AWHONN Advanced, BLS, and NRP required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience — screen out if less than 2 years or no C-section experience
- Experience with high-risk antepartum conditions (pre-eclampsia, previa, PTL, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, multiples, substance use in pregnancy) preferred
- Comfortable circulating for C-sections and providing Postpartum float coverage
- First-time travel nurses welcome; travel experience not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong antepartum assessment skills (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
- Proficient with IV therapy, PICC/CVC maintenance, PCA pumps and syringe pumps
- Medication management experience with magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, heparin/anticoagulation
- Ability to assist and circulate in C-sections and support L&D teams
- Compassionate communication for sensitive situations like fetal demise and NICU transitions
- Adaptability to float between units and quickly learn local unit workflows
