Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Day); occasional weekends may be required (may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, with an emphasis on cardiac studies and myocardial perfusion imaging
- Operate and troubleshoot SPECT/CT and PET/CT systems (GE and Siemens) to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Start and maintain IVs and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Conduct pharmacologic and exercise stress testing and monitor EKG acquisition during studies
- Document exams and patient care thoroughly in Epic and PACS, ensuring accurate study records
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort while following facility infection control and radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in radiology and cardiology to support timely, patient-centered care
- Maintain equipment readiness and assist with inventory, QA, and protocol adherence
Qualifications
- California state Nuclear Medicine Technology license (required)
- NMTCB certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience — cardiac nuclear medicine skills are a hard requirement
- Proven IV insertion skills and EKG acquisition/monitoring experience
- Experience with SPECT/CT and myocardial perfusion imaging
- Epic charting experience preferred
- ARRT certification preferred
- First-time travel technologists are not accepted for this role
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent (typical/preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac imaging, bone, thyroid, renal, and PET studies
- Skilled in SPECT/CT and PET/CT operation and image acquisition
- Proficient with myocardial perfusion protocols, pharmacologic and exercise stress testing
- Strong IV start and radiopharmaceutical administration skills
- EKG acquisition and monitoring during stress testing
- Familiarity with PACS and Epic charting
- Experience with GE and Siemens imaging systems
- Ability to work in an acute care hospital environment with adults and geriatric patients
