Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive-communication and speech abilities
- Lead and guide delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services across the facility
- Provide evidence-based swallowing therapy to reduce aspiration risk and improve safety
- Deliver cognitive-communication therapy to help residents reconnect and engage
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident-centered care
- Document assessments, progress notes and treatment plans in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Educate residents, families and staff on communication strategies and therapy goals
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state and federal guidelines in all SLP practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of SLP experience (required at time of submission)
- Active Texas SLP license or eligibility via compact (required)
- Proven ability to develop and implement treatment plans for swallowing and communication disorders
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable leading and directing SLP/audiology services in a facility setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in swallowing therapy and aspiration risk reduction
- Experience with cognitive-communication assessments and therapy
- Treatment planning and progress measurement expertise
- Working knowledge of audiology services in a long-term care setting
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and facility policies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing and rehab teams
