Shift Type: Days, varied day-shift schedule (exact start/end times vary by assignment; facility will provide specific shift times). Primarily day shifts with variable scheduling to cover department needs.

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific, direct patient care using the Nursing Process to ensure safe, effective outcomes
- Assess and prioritize ED patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Assume leadership responsibility on shift, including delegation and coordination of care
- Provide compassionate patient- and family-centered care while adhering to departmental and regulatory standards
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws, hospital policies, and specialty standards of care
- Participate actively in clinical orientation and support the ongoing education of peers and team members
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Current ACLS and BLS required prior to contract start
- PALS required; ENPC may be accepted in lieu of PALS (ensure active prior to start or course booked by orientation)
- De-escalation training required and must be active prior to contract start (or course booked by clinical orientation)
- Experience or comfort working in Emergency Department settings and providing direct patient care
- Demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Emergency Department (ED) assessment and triage
- Skilled in applying the Nursing Process for patient care planning and documentation
- Comfortable with age-specific care across the lifespan
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking in urgent care scenarios
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and de-escalation skills
- Preparedness for clinical orientation and working with varied patient acuity
