Roles & Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images for accurate radiologist interpretation
• Adjust equipment settings and techniques to optimize image quality for each patient
• Position patients safely and compassionately to obtain diagnostic images
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate results
• Maintain clear, current documentation and complete required skills checklists
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols at all times
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Provide patient education and reassurance throughout the imaging process

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist License (required)
• Active ARRT certification (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience (required)
• Prior travel work experience (highly preferred)
• Ability to provide work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), and 2 supervisory reference forms with dates employed (required)
• Applicants must have a permanent address outside the facility's 50-mile radius; applicants who were direct employees within the last 2 years are not eligible

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging technique and protocol knowledge
• Patient positioning expertise to achieve diagnostic-quality images
• Equipment utilization and the ability to adjust technique for optimal results
• Experience producing diagnostic images and troubleshooting study issues
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and patient-focused bedside manner
• Comfort working in a community hospital environment that values innovation and quality
