Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule includes rotating weekends (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and may require floating between campuses/units
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients across Telemetry and MedSurg units
- Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac telemetry for dysrhythmias with confidence
- Titrate cardiac drips safely and according to hospital protocols
- Float between units and campuses as needed, adapting quickly to different team workflows
- Deliver post-operative cardiac and neuro care (including post-CABG and post-TPA patients)
- Collaborate with physicians, RTs, pharmacists and PCTs to coordinate timely patient care
- Participate in competency assessments including dysrhythmia testing and simulation labs
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner and communicate changes during handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact RN where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience, ideally in telemetry/med-surg or float roles
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required for neuro/tele units
- Proven ability to interpret EKGs and recognize dysrhythmias
- Demonstrated experience titrating cardiac medications (e.g., amiodarone, Cardene, nitro, heparin; titrate down dobutamine/pressors as applicable)
- Comfort floating between units and adapting to variable patient acuity
- Willingness and ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (within 48 hours of offer, two attempts max) and a day-one sim lab
Education
- Active RN license (state of practice). BSN not required per job posting.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition skills
- EKG interpretation and cardiac medication titration expertise
- Familiarity with central tele monitoring systems and GE monitors
- Experience charting in Cerner (or similar electronic health records)
- Good clinical judgment in acute care settings including post-op cardiac and neuro patients
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work with PCTs and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing variable assignments and mid-shift unit changes
