Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in an oncology clinic setting
• Administer treatments and vaccines per protocol while closely monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient encounters and clinical interventions accurately in Cerner
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, side-effect management and follow-up
• Identify changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team promptly
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS certification required
• ONS or ONCC certification required (or active ONS membership/certification)
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (oncology experience strongly preferred)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Ability to complete a 12-hour orientation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Oncology nursing principles and chemotherapy/infusion familiarity
• Acute care nursing knowledge and clinic workflow experience
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and infection control best practices
