Roles & Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
Develop and implement personalized care plans following clinical and regulatory standards
Utilize evidence-based assessments to guide treatment interventions
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments for optimal outcomes
Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records
Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings
Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
Active Texas state license in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
CCS certification preferred (3+ years of active CCS experience)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
Knowledge of discharge planning and regulatory requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
