Location: Harrisonville, Missouri

Start Date: 07-27-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled, evidence-based rehabilitative therapy to patients with physical functioning disorders
Implement treatment plans including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and ambulation
Collaborate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments based on patient progress
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs
Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic medical record
Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications

Active Missouri Physical Therapist Assistant license
1+ years of experience as a PTA
Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently under supervision of a PT

Knowledge & Skills

Evidence-based practice knowledge
Manual therapy techniques proficiency
Therapeutic exercise and ambulation experience
Competency with modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation)
Knowledge of assistive devices
Strong documentation skills
Excellent patient consultation and communication skills
