Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions for mother/baby dyads
• Act as charge nurse and mentor to team members
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Float to other departments as a safety companion when needed
• Promote a safe environment and educate patients and families
• Demonstrate leadership and professional development

Qualifications

• Current Montana Registered Nurse License (active)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, recertified every 2 years
• STABLE certification within two years of hire
• Willingness to float and act as charge nurse

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Proficiency in Point Click EMR
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking
• Charge nurse and leadership capabilities
• Effective collaboration and communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, stressful environment
