Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to newborns and infants in the NICU and nursery setting
Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate parents on newborn care, feeding, and discharge planning
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation

Qualifications

Current active RN license in Louisiana (must be active at time of start)
Minimum 2 years of NICU or nursery experience
NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of neonatal assessment and care protocols
Proficiency in IV therapy and medication administration
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for families
Flexibility and adaptability to changing patient needs
