Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for surgical patients before, during, and after surgery
Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and emotional support
Monitor patient physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical continuum
Coordinate care across surgical specialties including vascular, ortho, trauma, general, robotic, urology, and ENT
Integrate and coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

2+ years of current OR experience
Experience floating to vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robot, urology, and ENT
Travel nursing experience preferred
EPIC proficiency required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to scrub and circulate effectively
Must have own vehicle for reliable transportation
New York RN license or temporary NY healthcare service agency license

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical patient care
Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt quickly to different surgical specialties
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
EPIC electronic medical record proficiency
