Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic patient care using the nursing process
Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and state regulations
Document patient care accurately according to standards of care
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and hospital policy
Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives and shared governance
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient longitudinal care plans
Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience

Qualifications

Current Illinois RN license required
Active CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
Willingness to float to Step-Down ICU as needed
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong ICU nursing skills including cardiovascular and neurological critical care
Proficient in medication administration and patient documentation
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Point Click EMR preferred
