Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7 days on, 7 days off, 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM

Hours per Week: 30

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collect and receive specimens for laboratory testing
Perform chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic analyses
Operate and maintain manual and automated lab equipment
Ensure accurate and timely processing of test results
Adhere to quality control and safety protocols
Collaborate with healthcare team to support patient care

Qualifications

ASCP or AMT certification as Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician
Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
Minimum 5 years of microbiology plate reading experience
Proficiency with Meditech laboratory information system
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Education

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in microbiology and specimen analysis
Skilled in manual and automated lab techniques
Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
