Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, no weekends, no on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care
Develop and implement individualized plans of care following clinical and regulatory standards
Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use supportive/assistive devices
Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members
Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic system
Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and students as needed
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and required trainings

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (new grads welcome with Level II experience)
LTC or Rehab experience required
Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist License
Ability to supervise and support support staff and students

Knowledge & Skills

Manual techniques and therapeutic exercises
Ambulation and gait training
Modalities including wound care
Use of supportive and assistive devices
Documentation and clinical record keeping
Supervision and delegation
Long term care and rehabilitation best practices
