Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to newborns and their families in the NICU and nursery
Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform assessments
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create care plans
Educate parents on newborn care, feeding, and safety
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Active RN license in Louisiana (must be currently active)
Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU or nursery experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in neonatal resuscitation and assessment
Comfortable with ventilators, monitors, and IV therapy
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Patient and empathetic approach to teaching families
