Location: York, Maine

Start Date: 08-10-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (13-hour day shifts, variable shift may be required due to census)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures using and building protocols to ensure high-quality imaging
Screen patients for contraindications and follow ACR and facility safety protocols
Interview and educate patients about the MRI procedure, addressing concerns with compassion
Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout the scan for safety and comfort
Operate and maintain MRI equipment, reporting any issues promptly
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and coworkers
Help manage inventory and assist with other related duties as needed

Qualifications

ARRT registered (required)
BLS/BCLS certification (obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
Ability to provide care appropriate to pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations
Must be Influenza vaccinated (or have approved medical exemption)

Education

Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program in MRI technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in MRI safety protocols and contrast administration
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
