Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for mothers during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using fetal monitoring and intervene appropriately
• Deliver compassionate postpartum care to support recovery and breastfeeding initiation
• Perform neonatal stabilization and coordinate with NICU and pediatrics when needed
• Assist and scrub in for C-sections when called upon and maintain sterile technique
• Respond rapidly to maternal or neonatal emergencies using ACLS, NRP and BLS protocols
• Document patient care accurately and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and following facility performance expectations

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with labor and delivery experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum care, and circulation is required
• NICU experience and pediatrics exposure are a plus
• Experience scrubbing in for C-sections preferred
• Able to meet Regional West performance expectations; contracts may be ended if expectations are not met

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and delivery processes and postpartum care
• Fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Neonatal resuscitation principles (NRP) and newborn stabilization
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) for maternal/neonatal emergencies
• Sterile technique and OR assist skills for C-sections
• Ability to collaborate with NICU and pediatric teams
• Strong clinical documentation and clear communication skills
