Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiology and CT scans, explain procedures clearly, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing routine calibration and checks to deliver high-quality images
- Collaborate directly with radiologists to obtain diagnostic images and support rapid, accurate interpretations
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff
- Document patient records and imaging results accurately and promptly to support continuity of care
- Respond to on-call requests (one night/week and every 5th weekend) and provide dependable coverage when needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited course in Radiologic Technology (required)
- Registered ARRT (required)
- Current Montana state radiologic license (required)
- CT certification (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) current (required)
- Ability to perform general radiology and CT procedures independently and safely
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient preparation skills with a focus on safety and comfort
- Experience with imaging equipment maintenance and calibration
- Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and best practices
- Accurate patient records management and imaging documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Professional communication skills and patient-focused bedside manner
