Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during evening and overnight hours
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Support rehabilitation goals and assist patients with activities of daily living as needed
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies with professionalism

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (such as ACLS) encouraged when appropriate
• Comfortable providing nursing care in a rehabilitation and skilled care setting
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first mindset

Education

• LPN: Vocational Nursing diploma or Practical Nursing certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and monitoring of adult patients
• Medication administration and safe dosing practices
• Wound care basics and rehabilitation support
• Accurate, timely charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Ability to prioritize tasks during overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
