Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients throughout the night shift
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and intervene promptly when changes occur
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with policies and physician orders
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and safe handoffs
• Float to other departments as needed to support staffing and maintain continuity of care
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Washington RN license (multi-state licenses accepted with verification)
• Med/Surg nursing experience and comfort working night shifts
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Approved 6-hour suicide prevention training completed
• Nursys verification of demographics completed or available
• Team-player attitude and willingness to float to other departments
• Ability and willingness to pick up extra shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Familiarity with Meditech or willingness to learn the electronic charting system
• Solid medication administration and documentation skills
• Good critical thinking and prioritization in an acute care night environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient acuity and unit needs
