Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, putting dignity and comfort first
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics every shift
• Ensure rooms and equipment are clean and stocked, contributing to infection control
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to keep everyone informed
• Participate in shift handoffs and documentation to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (New Mexico certification preferred or eligible to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient mobility
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
• Strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a caring bedside manner
• Local candidates only, as this role is strictly local

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and safety
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection prevention and proper hygiene practices
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
