Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care during overnight shifts, including assessments and basic nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
• Perform ongoing patient observations, record vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support patient safety and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the medical record and support shift handoffs
• Support a calm, therapeutic environment for patients and families during night hours

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working overnight 12.5-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Wed-Fri
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Prior experience in long-term care, behavioral health, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Active LPN license in New Mexico required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fundamentals in medication administration and basic nursing care
• Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control best practices and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing patient needs overnight
• Competence with electronic medical records and clear clinical charting
