Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients’ physical function and mobility to set meaningful goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise with compassion and clinical confidence
• Document progress thoroughly and communicate updates with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and adaptive equipment
• Monitor outcomes and adjust interventions to maximize patient recovery
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license or eligible to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Experience working in inpatient or skilled nursing/rehab settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
• Professional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent accredited degree in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular assessment
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise, gait training, and mobility techniques
• Knowledgeable in assistive device prescription and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with electronic documentation systems and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, patient education, and family coaching skills
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and adapt treatment plans as needed
