Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to laboring women, postpartum patients, and newborns following AWHONN standards
• Serve as a circulator for GYN surgical cases and deliver safe post-operative care when needed
• Assist obstetricians, pediatricians and anesthesia teams during deliveries and procedures
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing interventions across the maternal-child continuum
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity of care during shift handoffs
• Promote patient-centered care and support families throughout labor, delivery and postpartum
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations to ensure positive outcomes for mother and baby

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 5 years of labor and postpartum nursing experience (as stated in job description)
• Circulation/OR experience and willingness to care for GYN surgical and general post-operative patients
• Ability to work every 3rd weekend as part of a rotating night schedule
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; organized with attention to accuracy

Education

• Active New Hampshire RN license (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of maternal-child health and newborn care best practices
• Familiarity with AWHONN standards for professional nursing practice in the care of women and newborns
• Experience functioning as an OR circulator and providing GYN surgical support
• Skilled in postpartum assessment, monitoring and post-operative care
• Ability to assist obstetrician/pediatrician/anesthesia teams during procedures and deliveries
• Excellent patient-centered communication and family education skills
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Competence in accurate documentation and electronic health record use
