Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients at the facility
- Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Document patient status, interventions, and responses in the health record
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety at all times
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in Maine or compact-state privileges where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Valid immunizations and ability to pass required background and health screenings
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced facility environment and collaborating with a team
- Open to both experienced RNs and travel nurses looking for a 14-week assignment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- LPN candidates: completion of an accredited practical nursing program (if applying as LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV nursing competence
- Proficient documentation and electronic medical record usage
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Time management and ability to prioritize multiple patients
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
