Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem schedule (as assigned), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift (12.5-hour shift with 30-minute meal break)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and resident monitoring
- Document resident condition and care provided accurately and timely
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention with proper transfer techniques
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team
- Observe and report changes in resident status to the nurse in charge
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification valid in New Mexico
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered approach
- Comfortable with lifting, assisting with mobility and performing physical aspects of care
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures and infection control practices
- Skill in safe resident transfers and use of assistive devices
- Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
- Teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude toward patient dignity
