Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists by preparing and labeling medications accurately and safely
• Perform sterile compounding tasks following established protocols and aseptic technique
• Support pharmacy operations with efficient, detail-oriented technical work
• Maintain accurate records and ensure medication labeling meets regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical teams to help optimize patient medication therapy
• Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards in all pharmacy tasks

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License required upon submission
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
• Past hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Sterile compounding experience preferred
• Pre-employment drug screen required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication preparation and precise medication labeling
• Sterile compounding principles and aseptic technique
• Familiarity with pharmacy technician responsibilities in a hospital setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to follow protocols and work under pharmacist supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills within multidisciplinary teams
