Candidate Pay Rate: $95 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate perinatal and labor & delivery nursing care to moms and newborns
- Monitor fetal status using Fetal Heart Monitoring and intervene per protocol
- Perform neonatal resuscitation as an NRP Advanced Provider when needed
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatal teams, and support staff to ensure safe deliveries
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient education accurately in the medical record
- Educate families on labor progress, newborn care, and postpartum expectations with empathy and clarity
- Participate in unit readiness activities, drills, and quality improvement efforts to keep care sharp
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a perinatal/L&D RN
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) — Advanced Provider
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Intermediate
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- STABLE Program - STABLE Learner
- Preferred: BSN or MSN
- Preferred: Epic experience and bilingual Spanish skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong perinatal and L&D clinical assessment and triage skills
- Proficiency with fetal heart monitoring interpretation and response
- Neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn stabilization knowledge
- Excellent communication and family-centered patient education abilities
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to perform in high-acuity situations
- Familiarity with electronic medical record workflows (Epic preferred)
