Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X‑ray examinations on operating room (OR) and emergency department (ED) patients with accuracy and compassion
- Coordinate with surgical and ED teams to ensure imaging supports timely clinical decisions
- Prepare and position patients safely for imaging exams, maintaining dignity and comfort
- Operate and troubleshoot CT and X‑ray equipment while following radiation safety protocols
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with facility policies
- Assist with patient transfers and safe handling, including lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs when needed
- Participate in unit-based teamwork to maintain smooth workflow during rotating shifts and weekends
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) (CT) certification required (active AART/ARRT CT certification as stated)
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association only
- One year of radiology/CT experience preferred
- Operating Room (OR) imaging experience preferred
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and safely push/pull up to 50 lbs
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in CT scanning and general X‑ray imaging
- Experience with OR and ED imaging workflows and protocols
- Strong patient handling and positioning skills
- Familiarity with radiation safety practices and documentation
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, rotating shift environments
- Good communication skills to collaborate with surgeons, ED staff, and nurses
