Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, competent nursing care to patients in the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accurately
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the care team promptly
• Perform routine assessments and maintain thorough clinical documentation
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Support discharge planning and patient education with empathy and clarity
• Maintain infection control, safety standards, and professional conduct at all times

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (current or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Previous LPN experience in a clinical setting preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Vocational Nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical assessment
• Wound care, IV basics, and common nursing procedures
• Electronic health record navigation and accurate charting
• Prioritization, time management, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Patient-centered communication and family education techniques
