Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams for inpatient, ED and outpatient populations using department protocols
• Start IVs as needed on day shifts and manage contrast administration safely and competently
• Operate and optimize the GE Optima 660 scanner to produce diagnostic images
• Accurately document procedures and patient information in EPIC and manage images in McKesson PACS
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to patients and families during imaging
• Collaborate with radiologists, transporters and the care team to support timely diagnoses
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control and departmental policies at all times
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing competency activities to maintain high standards

Qualifications

• Current Washington state license required at time of submittal
• ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (R) preferred/required per site policy
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience
• Comfortable and experienced with IV placement (days may be asked to start IVs)
• Familiarity with EPIC and McKesson PACS and experience with GE Optima 660 a plus
• Ability to work the posted schedule (Saturday–Monday day shifts) and respond for scheduled call

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree or certificate preferred)
• ARRT certification in CT (and ARRT in Radiography where applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of CT protocols, contrast administration and patient safety
• Strong patient positioning and image acquisition skills to produce diagnostic studies
• Proficiency using EPIC for charting and McKesson PACS for image management
• Competent IV insertion skills and vascular access techniques
• Good clinical judgment, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in acute settings
• Clear communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with radiologists and unit staff
