Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams with care and precision, following established protocols and safety practices
• Prepare patients for imaging exams, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Operate MRI equipment and associated software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to optimize image quality and workflow
• Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation and assist with digital image archiving
• Adhere to infection control standards, immunization and screening requirements, and facility policies
• Participate in competency testing and skills checklists to support continuous professional growth

Qualifications

• Current MRI technologist experience (MRI listed as core skill)
• BLS certification required
• License/Certificate verification as required by the facility
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist prior to start
• Ability to pass Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, color vision testing, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
• Fit testing and a completed physical/health statement required
• Comfort working evenings and covering every other weekend per the schedule

Education

• Completion of an accredited MRI program or radiologic technology program preferred
• Certification or registry in MRI (or working toward registry) is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of MRI physics, safety protocols, and patient screening for implants/contraindications
• Proficiency with MRI scanners and image acquisition techniques
• Solid patient care skills, including positioning, immobilization, and communication
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record documentation
• Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with radiologists and multi-disciplinary staff
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and regulatory compliance
