Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing changes quickly and responding appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while documenting thoroughly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered outcomes
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record in a timely manner
• Advocate for patient needs and ensure a safe, compassionate care environment

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license for New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing acuity independently
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong clinical assessment skills, professionalism, and effective communication

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety best practices
• Accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-first mindset
