Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in the assigned clinical area
- Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear patient records
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
- Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to appropriate providers
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico license or RN compact privilege preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Acute care experience preferred; recent clinical experience is a plus
- Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Time management and prioritization in fast-paced settings
