Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the assigned area
• Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record
• Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and wellbeing
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes and experience

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact RN as applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Professional communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and adapt to changing patient needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and acute care practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Proficient documentation and charting to maintain accurate medical records
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
